NLEAP meets with University Grants Commission (UGC) to explore delivery of the Bachelor of Arts Translation Degree Programme at the Eastern University of Sri Lanka
The NLEAP team met with Dr. Priyantha Premakumara, Secretary, UGC, Ms. Srimathi Wijewardena, Senior Assistant Secretary, UGC and Professor F.C Ragel, Vice Chancellor, Eastern University at the University Grants Commission, to discuss offering the Degree programme at the Eastern University. The meeting follows closely a meeting held with Professor F.C Ragel, the Vice Chancellor of the Eastern University and Reverend Father Augustine Navaratnam, Senior Lecturer to discuss and develop on plans to implement a four year BA in Translation at the Eastern University.
